PERFORMANCE
CONSULTING
For Elite Athletes, Developing Athletes & Entrepreneurs
Identify what limits performance. Build what is missing.
Remove what stands in the way.
CURRENT WORK SPANS DEVELOPING ATHLETES, NATIONAL-TEAM COMPETITORS AND PEOPLE WHO NEED THEIR PERFORMANCE TO HOLD UP UNDER PRESSURE
THE PERSON BEHIND THE PERFORMANCE
The sport changes. The human system remains.
The work is not coaching the technical skills of hockey, football, golf, alpine skiing, running, tennis, handball or combat sports. It is developing the individual behind the performance: physical capacity, movement, recovery, resilience and the ability to meet the demands of their environment.
THE REAL PROBLEM
At a certain level, more training isn’t the answer.
When performance already matters every day, the limitation is rarely a lack of effort. It may be movement, pain, recovery, capacity, decision-making—or the fact that nobody owns the whole picture. Performance Consulting begins by finding the actual constraint.
THE ENGAGEMENT
One objective. An individual strategy.
The intervention is determined by what you need—not by a predefined service menu. The work can include physical performance, movement, treatment, recovery, pain and injury management, lifestyle, training decisions and coordination with other specialists.
01 · Assess
Understand the demands, history, environment and the constraint that matters most right now.
02 · Integrate
Connect training, recovery, treatment and daily decisions into one coherent strategy.
03 · Execute
Apply, measure and adapt the work as the individual and the performance environment change.
WHO IT’S FOR
Built for people operating where performance has consequences.
Elite Athletes
Professional and high-level athletes who need their body, training and recovery to support the demands of competition and career longevity.
Entrepreneurs & Executives
Ambitious people whose energy, physical capacity and clarity must keep pace with the standards of their work and life.
Selected individual engagements only. A strong fit requires commitment, openness and a meaningful performance objective.
THE LONG-TERM PATH
Development for ambitious young athletes.
Young athletes are not smaller versions of adults. Whether they compete in hockey, football, golf, alpine skiing, running, tennis, handball, MMA, karate or another discipline, they need an individual plan that respects growth, current ability, sport demands and long-term potential. This path is for athletes and families who want development to be deliberate—not left to chance.
Build the foundation
Develop movement, strength, speed, coordination and physical confidence for the demands ahead.
Keep it individual
Match the work to the athlete’s age, development, training load, goals and sporting environment.
Create continuity
Use recurring individual work to guide progress, adapt decisions and support sustainable development over time.
The athlete is always at the center. Parents are included as important partners in creating the right conditions around the work.
FOR CLUBS, YOUNG ATHLETES & PARENTS
An honest look inside professional sport.
AO Performance also offers sessions for sports clubs, young athletes and their parents. Drawing on experience from working around world-class performers, the sessions provide perspective on environments such as the NHL and other professional leagues—the physical and mental demands, the standards behind long-term development, and what young athletes and families can learn without copying elite sport too early.
This is education and perspective based on experience—not an official affiliation with the NHL or any professional league.
A SEPARATE PATH
Help with persistent or unresolved pain.
Not everyone needs an ongoing consulting engagement. Some people need a focused assessment of pain, recurring restriction or a physical problem that has not improved despite previous attempts.
Selected standalone appointments
These cases can be handled through one or a small number of individual appointments. The first meeting is used to understand the whole picture, assess what may be contributing and decide on clear next steps.
This path is suitable for people seeking a new perspective on persistent pain or a problem that previous approaches have not resolved.

FREQUENTLY ASKED
Is AO Performance right for you?
Who is performance consulting for?
Elite athletes, ambitious developing athletes and entrepreneurs who need an individual strategy rather than another generic program. The work starts with the person, their environment and the constraint that matters most.
Do you work with every sport?
Yes. AO Performance does not coach the technical skills of one sport. The focus is the human system behind performance, whether the athlete competes in hockey, football, golf, alpine skiing, running, tennis, handball or combat sports.
Can young athletes apply?
Yes. Young ambitious athletes are a central part of the work. The approach is adapted to age, development, training history, sport and the demands surrounding the athlete.
Can I apply for help with persistent pain?
Yes. People with pain or physical limitations that have not improved through previous attempts can apply for an individual assessment. These engagements may consist of one or a small number of sessions. Results vary, and medical care should be contacted when appropriate.

What is AO Performance — and how can I learn more?

AO ACADEMY
